American bakeries range from wholesale operations that supply restaurants to neighborhood shops that sell bread, pastries, cookies and cakes over the counter, and many of them also pour coffee. Bagel shops boil and bake on site and sell out of favorite flavors by late morning; donut shops open before dawn and are often family-run; patisseries and cake studios take custom orders for weddings and birthdays and usually need one to two weeks' notice. Ice cream parlors, gelato shops and frozen yogurt bars are seasonal in the northern states and year-round in the South and on the West Coast. Prices are posted per item, by the dozen or by the pound, and most shops now take cards and mobile payment.
Hours are published for 7 days a week. Typical hours are 6 amβ10 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. Staten Island is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around Staten Island is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across New York's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

The food was delicious. We got the fried red snapper entree, shrimp with rice entree, maduro with cheese, and a beef empanada. Empanada was super crispy, cheesy and well seasoned. Maduro was delicious. The fried red snapper was amazing. The skin was crispy. It wasnt too hard to pick the bones out. It came with tostones, salad, and white rice. I ate my fill and went home with half the fish and a full tin of the sides. The shrimp with rice was a huge portion. Could easily be shared between two people! The fresh mango juice was also amazing. The atmosphere was nice, staff was friendly and attentive. And the price was also fantasic for what we got. Under 100 bucks. They also have fresh deserts that were yummy.

The carne empanadas are good way better than the other Colombian restaurant on the island it was thin, crispy & flavorful..The picante was ok I just wish it was a little chunky instead of just watery preferably.I also ordered the Bandeja paisa with the chicharron. The steak was alright on flavor and texture was good, they just need to improve on flavor and the beans were good. However the rice was cooked horribly uneven some rice grains were either undercooked hard or overcooked mushy, very odd.For now this restaurant will be my go to for empanadas only.
